American Idol, House

This season, so far, has been very meh for me. There's a couple people who are just super talented and the rest... There's a couple that I'm still scratching my head over how they ever got past the auditions.

And tonight was just...wierd. Nobody was very good. And the song choices were kinda wierd for the most part. The most entertaining part of the show was what Paris was wearing, in all its whatthefuckedupness. She looked like someone three times her age who was revisiting the 80's. o.O

Plot holes make baby Jesus cry. But there was good House/Wilson. Kinda predictable that Wilson would worm his way in with the cooking, but it was still pretty funny. The maid just about killed me though. I forget sometimes that Wilson is every bit as bad as House is, 'cause he's nicer about it, if that makes sense. The plot was weak and it made me sad. Mostly 'cause it felt like if it had been developed just a smidge more, it could've been great. And I have no idea what the hell the writers are trying to do with Cameron. She could be an interesting character if they could just decide on what they want her to be, instead of fitting her to whatever the current situation is. Also, I'm pretty sure her pants had pockets. For some reason the waistband!money hurt my brain.

...Egyptwtfbbq.

Did anyone watch Alias to the bitter end? Is it still going on? I had to stop watching before the end of s4 because I just couldn't take it anymore. I've never had a show I was that attached to crap out so suddenly, and I had to get away from the badness before I got any on me. Also, is Bones any good? I've tried to watch a few eps and I really don't care for the lead chick and um, the show gets kinda talky sometimes, but Boreanaz is pretty entertaining. Just not sure if he's entertaining enough to go to the bother of watching the show on a regular basis. Or um, 'obtaining' earlier episodes to get all caught up.

I think I'm just gonna combine all my journals into this one and uh, try to get organized. Or get my stuff gathered up to a point where I can pretend that I'm organized. I'm not even gonna look to see what's flocked and what's not at this point though 'cause it's a pain in the ass trying to sort that kind of stuff out. Fics and code and icons and such will be reposted here and tagged and memoried and uh, backdated so my flist doesn't kill me. The only things that'll be flocked from here on out I think will be personal stuff, so if people wanting to read fics or whatever could be patient, that would be fantastic.

I think I got as many (if not more) requests to unlock stuff or find missing fics for people as I did comments and emails wanting to know if I was dead or not. o.O I love the internet.

re: Bones? i'm on episode 9 right now and the lead character hasn't gotten any less annoying or less talky. David's not really enough since...he's not the main character...and OMGshesucks. *shrug* i like her two assitants, tho. they're funny as all get out, sometimes :) but i'm one of those OCPD people who has to finish watching things all the way through, so now that i started, i'm screwed. at least until the season ends.

hmmm. I do like the assistants too, forgot about them. And yeah, I hear you on having to watch stuff all the way through once you've started. It's why I haven't downloaded the earlier eps just yet. :P

on the "getting caught up" part...it doesn't really seem like there's too much to that. it doesn't seem to me like the episodes build much on what's gone on previously. as long as you know that her parents went missing and everyone keeps trying to shove her and Booth together (both of which get brought up in *every* episode)...that's all the backstory you really need to follow the story.

i just got through watching #15 (with Jayne from Firefly) and that was pretty good. the show still feels to me like the episodes stand on their own, although i'm hoping that will change.

After the bad awful wrongness that was S4, Alias has gotten really good this season. Plus they're bringing back pretty much everybody who's ever been on the show for the last 5 episodes, which start airing April 19th.
